FAQ After Non Fault Car Accidents

• If you’re only Third Party covered you will usually have to pay for everything and claim it back from the at fault party.
• You may have to pay your policy excess
• Your comprehensive policy is likely to only cover you for use of a small courtesy car
• If you’re vehicle is a write-off you would not normally get a car at all

In a non-fault accident, if you can prove the need for a replacement vehicle similar to your own;
You can hire a like for like replacement and claim back all losses that you may incur as a result for the accident.
The cost of that hire
car and other reasonable costs can often be recoverable from the at fault parties Insurance Company.

If the accident was not your fault costs are usually recovered from the at fault drivers insurance company at standard insurance rates.

We require your details, the accident circumstances, and ideally the at fault drivers name and registration and other contact information if available. However often we can obtain details from their registration number.

The cost of the courtesy vehicle or credit hire car we supply you with will be recovered by us, on your behalf, from the at fault drivers insurer. Costs are recovered at standard rates.

The Motorists Insurer Bureau (MIB), is an organisation that exists to compensate any innocent party who has been involved in an accident with an uninsured driver.

The accident must be non fault and the at fault driver should be insured (however in some case uninsured cases we can assist with) 

The accident must have happened in the UK. 

You must hold a full drivers license and be aged 17 years plus.

Yes, we provide like for like courtesy cars and credit hire vehicles after non fault car accidents.

We also give you the option of multiple vehicle types to ensure the vehicle is of the same standard, size and specification to that of your own vehicle.

Repairables

If your own car is repairable then you keep the courtesy vehicle until the repairs are complete on your own vehicle.

Write Off’s

In the event of your vehicle being a write-off you will keep the courtesy vehicle until your vehicle claim is settled and you have received cleared funds.
