The Vehicle Write Off Claim Process

We arrange your vehicle inspection, an engineer will visit your vehicle and produce a detailed report compiled from his findings. From the vehicles report a pre-accident valuation is produced for your approval. This valuation is not a standard book value used by many insurance companies but a true valuation of your specific vehicle. The valuation takes into account the following; vehicle age, millage, mechanical condition, cosmetic condition, vehicle history and market cost.

The report should produce a value that is equal to the market value to replace your vehicle with a vehicle of the same standard and condition in this current vehicle market.

We act off your instruction so no claim is made until you are happy with your vehicle valuation.

Once you approve the vehicle report and valuation we set about claiming this loss direct from the at fault driver insurance company. You will be given a like for like courtesy car during this process and you will keep the courtesy vehicle until your vehicle write off payment is made to you and cleared funds are available.

Your written off vehicle remains your property throughout the claim process. If you wish to keep the damaged vehicle it is your right to do so. Typically written of vehicle (salvage vehicles) are valued at 10% of their full pre-accident value. This means you will paid out 90% of the write off value if you decide to keep the written off vehicle. If you do not wish to keep the vehicle 100% of the write off value is paid out.

Non fault car accident and need your vehicle repairing?

We claim the cost of the repairs back from the at fault drivers insurance company directly. This means that unlike your your insurance company service, with our service you have no excess to pay. The courtesy car is of the same standard as your own vehicle.

We provide full vehicle detailed vehicle repair management and claims services. You have full control over your vehicles repair and you get to select the vehicle repair centre, not an insurance company.

We recommend that you select a manufacturer approved repair centre. This is to ensure that any manufacturer warranties your vehicle may have are fully preserved. That all repairs are carried out using only original manufacturer parts and materials, and repair work is to the OEM standard.

You will also benefit from the repair centre often giving manufacturer repair guaranty. Selecting the correct repair centre is essential if your vehicle is financed or leased as often there are agreement conditions stating the standard of any repair work that is to be carried out to the vehicle as poor repairs will effect future cost and can break terms of your agreement.

To ensure your best interest are protected we instruct an engineer to assess your vehicle and produce a detail repair report. This is done in addition to the repair centre’s own detailed repair estimate. By doing this we ensure your vehicle is correctly repaired and all accident related damage is included in the repair authority.

If they cannot provide a service you are happy with then you are under no obligation to claim with there vehicle claim service.

If the accident was not your fault you are usually entitled to claim via any service.
